Everything the game doesn't tell you, with the real numbers from the server. If something changes, we update it here.

01Boys vs Girls

A relay mode: a boys team against a girls team, 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3. There is one song per pair of rivals (2 or 3 songs), and in each one a player from each team dances while the rest wait for their turn.

  • If your life bar runs out, you're out. The match ends when the songs run out or nobody is left standing.
  • The team with the highest combined score wins.
  • If you pick RANDOM with Default Easy, Normal or Hard, that difficulty applies to every song of the match.
  • While you wait for your turn you can cheer your team with gestures using the number keys.
  • At the end the penalty wheel spins: the losing team dances in costume. A draw means no penalty.
  • MVP: every player of the winning team who finishes standing gets 1 MVP, and the top scorer of that team gets 1 more. Your profile's MVP icon levels up at 1, 3, 6, 10… MVP.

The challenge to pass level 13 is winning a match in this mode.

02Couple mode (Couples)

Played with 4 or 6 players forming boy-and-girl couples on the same team. The couple with the highest combined score wins. It's the only mode that gives Charm, which fills the hearts on your profile.

03Profile hearts (Charm)

The CHARM row of your profile shows up to 12 hearts. Each heart has two halves and each half is 100 Charm points: 200 points fill one heart.

  • +20 Charm for each member of the couple for every song both finish standing.
  • +10 more if your couple finishes first and there were at least 2 couples in the room.
  • If either of you runs out of life or leaves the song, neither of you gets Charm for that song.
  • Up to 200 points per day (UTC time): at most one new heart per day. Finishing 10 songs as a couple in one day gets you there.
  • The maximum is 12 hearts (2400 points).

To get married you need at least one full heart (200 Charm). The room chat tells you every time you earn Charm and when you hit the daily limit.

04Group points (Honour)

Normal matches don't give group points. You only earn them in Group Battles: a color-team match where every color is made of members of one group and each color belongs to a different group (2 vs 2, 3 vs 3 or 2 vs 2 vs 2). You'll see the GROUP DANCE BATTLE! banner when it starts.

  • The group whose team scores the most wins. The losing group loses nothing.
  • For each player of the winning group who finishes standing, the group gets 5 Honour, and that player adds 5 to their personal contribution (GROUP SCORE).
  • Each color needs at least 2 players, and it only counts in normal mode (also with Crazy or 6 Keys).
  • The battle must last at least 60 seconds. A draw or a match with nobody standing gives no points.
  • You can earn points against the same group at most 5 times every 24 hours.
  • To create a group you need level 5, a Group Card and 5000 G.

The group ranking is ordered by Honour; on a tie, the older group goes first.

05Crazy Dance

Crazy Dance is a room setting in normal mode: the whole song gets faster for everyone, notes, music (without changing pitch) and dance. Turn it on in GAME MODE with the CRAZY DANCE option; only the room owner picks the speed with the arrows of the CRAZY selector. In the lobby the room shows as “Crazy x1.3”.

  • Speed from x1.1 to x1.5. It starts at x1.3 when you turn it on.
  • Each note gives the usual points, but experience goes up 6 % per tenth: at x1.5 you get 30 % more EXP.
  • It can't be combined with 6 Keys.
  • CRAZY SCORE and CRAZY RANK on your profile count wins, losses and draws in valid matches: at least 4 players start, at least 2 finish and you hit 100 notes or more.
  • Leaving a valid match counts as a loss.
  • CRAZY RANK orders by wins; on a tie, by win rate and then fewer losses. You need at least 1 win to appear.

Every song also has its own CRAZY ranking in the song catalog on the website.

06E.SKILL rings

E.SKILL rings change the notes of every player in the room for the whole song. The room owner picks them in the E.RING panel and can only use rings they own that haven't expired. They work in normal mode.

  • Red rings (they change the order of the arrows): Illusion Ring mirrors them, Gale Ring shuffles the columns and Chaos Ring scrambles them.
  • Visibility rings: Lost Ring makes notes vanish before they arrive, Flash Ring makes them appear late and Dark Ring only shows them in a strip.
  • You can combine one red ring with one visibility ring.
  • They don't give extra points or experience: they're a challenge. They're sold in the shop for a limited time and disappear when they expire.

Each song's ranking has two tables: NO RINGS and RED RINGS. A match with a red ring counts in the second one; visibility rings don't split the ranking.

07How to get married

Open the wedding window, type your partner's nick and a vow (up to 200 characters), and pick the ring. Your partner gets a “Marriage Proposal” mail they can accept or decline. If they accept, you're married; the ring is not used up.

  • To propose: level 5, at least one full Charm heart, being single, no divorce in the last 7 days and owning the chosen ring.
  • To accept: one full heart, being single and owning a ring of the same type. The proposal expires after 7 days.
  • A boy can marry a girl, and two girls can marry each other.
  • Rings: Straw, Silver, Gold, Ruby, Diamond and Forever Ocean Star, plus the new Angelic Heart, Demon Tears, Kitty, Rainbow Candy, Mysterious Blue, Rose Teardrop, Swan Lake, Cool Bear and Blue Blossom.
  • While married, each other's nick shows on your profiles and you earn COUPLE SCORE: +10 each for every match you finish together in the same room, +20 in couple mode.

08Changing rings

Ask for the change from the wedding window by picking the new ring. Your partner gets a “Ring Change” mail and the change happens when they accept.

  • Both of you must own the new ring.
  • You can't ask if it's the same ring, if another change is pending or if a divorce is in progress. The request expires after 7 days.

09Getting divorced

To ask for a divorce you need a Dump Potion, which is used up. Your partner gets a “Divorce Application” mail.

  • If your partner accepts, the divorce is immediate.
  • If they decline, the divorce happens on its own after 7 days.
  • Divorcing removes the partner and ring from your profile, and you must wait 7 days to marry again.

If you have a marriage problem you can't solve in the game, open a ticket from your account and the team will help.
