October Update: Smoother Sync, Safer Downloads and a New Discord Status

October has been a busy month behind the scenes. Most of what changed you won't see directly, but you'll feel it the moment you start a song. Here's the full rundown.

🎯 Notes that stay on beat

On songs with lots of BPM changes, notes could slowly drift away from the music. We rebuilt how the game keeps time, so the arrows now follow the song from the first beat to the last.

After the first fix, some of you noticed short speed-ups after a stutter, as if the game were rushing to catch up. That's gone too: if your PC freezes for a moment, the notes snap back into place right away instead of racing for several seconds.

📥 Downloads that don't give up

Players in Malaysia, Peru, Indonesia and Brazil told us the installer stopped with "The download stopped". The installer and the launcher now:

• retry on their own when the connection drops instead of quitting;
• keep your PC awake until the download is finished;
• don't throw away files that were already downloaded correctly.

If you had given up on installing, give it another try from the Download page.

💬 A new Discord status

When you play with Discord open, your profile now shows what you're up to: the song with its cover, artist, difficulty and level, the game mode (Crazy, 6 Keys, O2Jam, Boys vs Girls and the rest), a progress bar and how many people are in your room. Your friends get a button to download the game and another to join our Discord.

🏆 Fairer Dance Pass missions

• Song missions now show the difficulty and the level, for example Hard Lv.13, so you know exactly which chart counts.
• When two songs share a title, the mission also shows the artist.
• Full combo missions mean a real full combo: no MISS and no BAD, playing the whole song.

🌍 The website, in your language

playdance.net now has its own address for each language: English, Spanish at /es and Traditional Chinese at /zh. We also added an About us page with who we are and the questions you ask us most.

Thanks to everyone who reported problems in tickets and on Discord: most of these fixes started with one of your messages. See you on the dance floor! 💃🕺
